You have probably read that Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into the skin along meridians or channels, balancing energy, or Qi. But what does that mean?
Studies have shown that Acupuncture augments the immune system, increases circulation, relieves pain, and improves mood, lowers blood pressure, promotes healthy hormone levels, aids in fertility, reduces stress and anxiety, alleviates headaches, and more.
People often think of acupuncture treatments for pain only. The World Health Organization has recognized dozens of conditions for which acupuncture is considered effective.
- Asthma and Allergies
- Auto-immune conditions
- Colds and Flu
- Chronic Pain

Powerful Duo: Acupuncture and Active Release Techniques (ART)
Paul combines Active Release Techniques with Acupuncture to enhance the effects of orthopedic and sports medicine treatments. Together these two modalities address structural problems and alleviate pain. While providing physical relief of pain, Motor Point Acupuncture also provides immediate change to muscle energetics and restoration of function, by reinforcing proper neuromuscular communication.
This sets the stage for ART. With part of the work already done, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerve tracts are receptive to the scientific-based soft tissue therapy. ART sessions following acupuncture are therefore less intense and more effective than as a stand alone treatment.
Pain is substantially reduced or eliminated entirely.

Paul is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. He used acupuncture combined with Active Release Technique to resolve pain in my neck, shoulders and upper back. He is extremely conscientious in his practice and truly cares about his patients.
Paul is a Sports Acupuncture and musculoskeletal physiology expert. I have been to several other acupuncturists, however I was referred to Paul specifically for a back injury. His approach to acupuncture is very different from other practitioners. He is professional and knowledgeable and I felt great after my treatment!
I have been dealing with shin splints for a couple of months before I came to see Paul. After a few visits I was back to running without limping. In a month or so I was able to do well in a sprint distance triathlon race which had 3 mile run. I'm 100% healed now, I only wish I came to see him earlier!
